The Reading Space
We are absolutely delighted to announce that our wonderful new library, The Reading Space, which was created in partnership with the charity ABC Book Club, is now complete!
The official opening was a truly special occasion; led by Mr John Camp, CEO of Compass Academy. We were also honoured to welcome the founder of ABC Book Club, members of our Governing Body, our Year 6 pupil leaders, and a few of our dedicated parents/carers, who all joined us for this memorable event.
The unveiling was a joyful and proud moment for our school, shared by Mr Wilson and Miss Najak and many members of our community. The Reading Space represents more than just books – it’s a place to inspire a love of reading in every child, and we are thrilled to now have this space to enjoy together. Since the opening, all pupils and staff have had the opportunity to visit the library – and they were truly amazed! The space-themed design, chosen by the children themselves, has created a magical and inspiring reading environment. We are confident that it will help nurture a lifelong love of reading.
Our pupils have already begun using the new library and are thoroughly enjoying exploring the fantastic collection of brand-new books generously donated by ABC Book Club. Each class will have regular opportunities to visit The Reading Space, and we are excited to see it become a vibrant hub of imagination, discovery and learning.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who supported our recent book giveaway event and the Christmas Fayre. Your generous donations played a vital role in making this incredible transformation possible, and we are so grateful for your continued support.
We look forward to sharing many more reading adventures with you and your children in the weeks to come!
