World Book Day - Thursday 5th March 2026
With World Book Day fast approaching, we would like to share the exciting plans we have with you that the children will be taking part in to celebrate our love of reading at Kibdrooke Park
Character Dress Up
As part of the celebrations, we invite all children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. Costumes can be as simple or as creative as you like, and we encourage you to use items you already have at home rather than purchasing new outfits! A homemade costume can be just as effective— a simple prop, a particular colour scheme, or even face paint can help bring a character to life
Book Tokens
This year, World Book Day £1 Book Tokens are digital - please see this digital token below. These tokens can be redeemed at participating bookshops (including Asda, Tesco, The Works, Sainsbury's, Waterstones and TG Jones) for free from now until Sunday 15th March 2026 (subject to availability). Themed Lunch
On Thursday 5th March we also have a special World Book Day meal from Chartwells. The menu is listed below for your reference. If your child usually has a school meal they will receive this lunch automatically. If they usually have a packed lunch but would like the school meal please let the office know.
