Our Wider Offer

Music

Music at Kidbrooke Park is taught by music specialists. Music instruction is documented to accelerate brain development in children, particularly in the areas of the brain responsible for processing sound, language development, speech perception and reading skills.

In classes, our Stretto specialist music teachers perform and accompany the children singing using live instruments. Each week the pupils carry out physical musical activities which develop their fine motor skills, aural and rhythm memory skills, visual memory skills, cognitive and social skills. From Nursery through to Year 6, the children have the opportunity to develop their skills by learning how to play a range of instruments. Our music specialists encourage the children to think and act creatively, thus developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be applied in all areas of learning. We develop music into a whole school strength.

Forest School

We offer the chance for our EYFS and Kite class pupils a chance to learn outside of their classroom on a regular basis. These sessions are led by a trained, in school, Forest School Leader and takes place in our very own wooded environment.

Spirit of the Games

Kidbrooke Park’s “Spirit of the Games“

Physical Education (PE) is an integral part of the curriculum at Kidbrooke Park. We understand the positive impact these early experiences can have on the physical and mental well-being of our pupils and therefore constantly strive to offer the very best.

Annually, we compete with other schools across the Compass Partnership and hold a Compass Sports Day at Sutcliffe Park.

FRENCH

Our chosen Modern Foreign Language is French and currently our class teachers deliver these sessions.
