Kidbrooke Learning Centre

Welcome to the Kidbrooke Park Learning Centre (KPLC) – we hope this website helps you find the information you need and that it gives you a taste of life at our centre.

Many of our pupils have previously found school a challenge. Our mission is to help every child become an independent, lifelong learner who can regulate and manage their own feelings and behaviour.

At KPLC, the experiences and individual needs of our children are at the heart of everything we do. We are passionate about ensuring that each child is understood, valued and supported to thrive.

Our dedicated staff are committed to supporting the wellbeing and progress of every child, creating a safe, caring and inclusive environment where each pupil can reach their full potential. In return, our pupils show mutual respect, build positive relationships and demonstrate perseverance and resilience every day.

Our centre has been recognised for its commitment to inclusive and supportive practice. KPLC has been awarded the prestigious ADHD Friendly School Award and has achieved the standards set by the Autism Education Trust. We also embed Trauma Informed Practices across our provision and have a dedicated on-site Trauma and Mental Health Schools Practitioner. In addition, we are proud to have received a commendation in the ARC Alex Thimpson Award by the Attachment Research Community, highlighting our strong commitment to relational practice and inclusion.

We believe children achieve their best when home and school work in partnership, building strong relationships with families based on trust, respect and open communication.

By working together, we aim to give our pupils the opportunity to grow in confidence and develop tolerance, understanding, independence, positive relationships and, above all, a lifelong positive attitude towards learning.
