School and COMPASS COUNCIL

Here at Kidbrooke Park Primary we have established an active School Council. We have two representatives from Years 1 - 6, who are actively involved in many areas of school life. In addition to this, they lead many fund-raising activities for a variety of charities.

They are the voice of all pupils at Kidbrooke Park Primary and take their role extremely seriously. We elect new members via a secret ballot during the Autumn Term.

Our Year 6 representatives are also part of our Compass Council who meet throughout the year in various locations.

Junior travel ambassadors

We are proud to have achieved the Travel for Life Gold Award from TFL!

In October 2025, Kidbrooke Park received the Travel for Life Gold accreditation, recognising our outstanding commitment to promoting active, responsible and sustainable travel among pupils, staff and families.

How we achieved it

Over the past three years we have:

• Delivered travel activities to promote walking, cycling, scooting and public transport use.
• Carried out consultations with pupils, families and staff to shape our travel plan and gather feedback.
• Reduced daily car use for journeys to school by at least 6% and reached 90% of journeys by sustainable modes

The impact this has had on our school, our pupils and our community

• Helped reduce congestion
• Improve our road safety
• Improve our health and wellbeing
